Happy May! The end of year is rapidly approaching and we have a very busy month ahead. We have begun preparing for our Sacrament of First Holy Communion. My second grade friends have been working hard daily practicing their readings and petitions in preparation for Communion. Don't forget to save the date, Saturday, May 20th at 10:00 AM. We hope to see all of our family and friends there to watch us on this special day. In math we have been working on money and time. We are beginning to learn how to tell time to the quarter and half hour. In science, we are learning all about habitats and the types of animals that can survive in different types of habitats. In social studies, we are learning all about spending versus saving and the importance of understanding the difference. We will also be going on our second field trip to the Bronx Zoo at the end of the month. We are continuing to learn and grow and are excited for what is to come!
