  • Welcome to St. Francis Xavier School!

At St. Francis Xavier, our children receive the finest quality education rooted in the tradition and values of Catholic faith in a safe and respectful environment. We provide a challenging curriculum that is age-appropriate. Our children are happy and enjoy their learning environment. Our teachers are kind, caring and sensitive to the needs of their students.

Our 8th graders receive numerous scholarships from Bronx and Westchester Catholic High Schools as well as admissions into prestigious New York City Public High Schools such as Bronx High School of Science. Parents work collaboratively with Administration through the Home-School Association to create fun activities for all children. Our school will afford your child the very best Catholic education and experience. We hope that you will join our family here at St. Francis Xavier .

This year, as we prepare for Thanksgiving, we are aware there are many, many people who are struggling due to the pandemic.  As always, we here at St. Francis Xavier School want to do all we can to help others.

The Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal have asked us to partner with them to hold a Canned Food Drive.

From Monday, November 16, 2020 to Monday, November 23, 2020, we will be collecting canned goods and other non-perishable foods.

The Sisters have asked specifically for:

      • Cans of Meat - Tuna, Chicken, Sardines, Spam
      • Cans of Vegetables, Canned fruit, Soup, Beans
      • Dried Beans, Cereal, Oatmeal, Rice, Pasta, Macaroni & Cheese

Your child can simply bring your donation to school.  If your child is learning remotely, you can drop you’re your donation off with us during the school day.

We thank you for your consideration and your generosity.
Take care and be well.  God bless you and your family.

      All the best,
      Marie O’Shea

    • Dear Catholic School Families,

Since September, our schools have been open and operating safely and efficiently. Thank you for your support in ensuring our guidelines for health and safety have been followed. Every person in our extended Catholic schools’ community has the responsibility to observe social distancing and wear a mask. This is what will keep the doors to our schools open; this is what will continue to keep everyone at our Catholic schools safe and healthy. Our principals, teachers and health aides have rigorously enforced health and safety protocols in our schools...

Please click here to read the rest of this important letter from our Superintendent explaining what we can do to keep everyone safe and our schools open.
